My name is Summer Swee-Singh and I am the first instrumentalist who decided to "play" a Skrillex/dubstep DROP acoustically and in a classical fashion. Back in 2011, I wrote and arranged a series of Skrillex medley covers for piano, violin, and viola that can be found on YouTube; parts 1-3 have all been reposted by the Grammy-award-winning DJ himself. This compilation of my arrangements (some later parts, specifically YouTube Skrillex cover videos parts 5-7 and part 9 were coarranged with my good friend, violinist Miren Edelstein). I later decided to record a handful of these cover medleys in similar arrangements for a piano and violin duo, performed by Miren Edelstein on the violin and yours truly on the piano. Here are the three links to my cover arrangements that Skrillex reposted: 1. http://www.facebook.com/skrillex/posts/123345304407373 2. http://www.facebook.com/skrillex/posts/219870104701833 3. http://www.facebook.com/skrillex/posts/171606926259284 You can also find us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ssweesingh - Summer https://www.facebook.com/mirenedelstein - Miren https://www.facebook.com/Dubutantes You can find our TEDx performance together here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cO7e-TOBZIU A huge thank you to Danica Reed (photographer) and to Frank Zio (cover art editing).
