The Partyliners were a southern band, playing red-hot American Music - country, Western Swing and rockabilly - in the mid 1950's. The band featured Greasy Medlin - the last of the Medicine Men - on bass. He contributed lead vocals on the song "Rain." Other band notables included Lacy "The Carolina Kid" Richardson of Slim Mims and the Dream Ranch Boys on lead guitar and Thomas "Bunky" Keels, later of Jim Reeves' Blue Boys on piano and Duke Roberts on pedal steel. In these recently discovered live recordings from a South Carolina NCO Club gig, you can give a listen to one of the best bands you've never heard.
