This five-song EP is basically a 'Bucket List' project. Except for 'Maybellene' which is a bit older, these are a few songs from the late 60's which I grew up with, and their re-interpretation by me is something I guess I just 'had to get out of my system'. I had WAY too much fun recording these timeless goodies! I number them among my 'favorite' songs, exemplary of a more adventurous musical era, and a more innocent time in our history. They all have been known to put a smile on my face. I chose these particular songs because they were presumably ones that I could sing and do justice to. I want to thank all the writers of these songs, for their visionary talents and the uniqueness in style each brought to their songwriting. For the record, these writers are: Todd Rundgren, Sly Stone/Sylvester Stewart, the late, great Laura Nyro, Chuck Berry, and the gone-too-soon John Lennon.
