After 45 year on vinyl, Rebirth is emerging again with this re-release of the band's 1971 self-titled album. This album faithfully reproduces the original sound and includes all 12 tracks: -Everybody's Talking -The Way That I Feel -Daily Bread -Laughin' On the Corner -Lancaster County -Into the Light -They'll Know We are Christians -Life -Heaven Knows (Reprise: They'll Know We Are Christians) -I Know Where I'm Going -Jesus Life -Quiet Place (and Reprise) When the band (Jim Krabill, Mel Lehman, Elaine Warfel, Dean Clemmer, and Rob Eby) recorded this album in 1970-71 in Atlanta and New York, they were riding the crest of a success wave that their humble origins as unknown troubadours in Harrisonburg, Virginia would have never predicted. That success led to two national tours and three albums. Their original songs and powerful arrangements of folk and Christian rock classics won them devoted fans still loving them today. As seniors at Eastern Mennonite University, they peaked with a recording contract and an offer of a one-year touring contract from a national campus ministry. They graduated, took a VW bug and their music to Atlanta and NYC and made this third and final recording. But then the magic died as they all pursued separate careers. Jay Messina, an award-winning sound engineer who worked on the original album, provided consulting advice in this re-mastering of this album.
